The Environmental Footprint Calculator (EFC)

By choosing recycled products there are measurable impacts on 5 pressing environmental factors mentioned below. The EFC is unique to Cosset and provides indicative figures that allow you to measure how much you reduce your environmental impact.

Simply use the calculator by entering the quantity of items you are specifying or ordering and then print off your environmental savings. Below are the definitions of the five environmental factors:

Concrete Conservation

This figure how many tonnes of mining must be done to make an equivalent product from concrete.

Wood Conservation

This figure is the percentage of a tree or how many trees you would be saving by choosing recycled plastic over a wood alternative.

Mining Equivalent

This figure shows how many tones of mining would be required to make a metallic equivalent.

Electricity Equivalent

This figure shows how many tonnes of greenhouse gas have been saved by utilising recycled plastic and thus saving electricity.

Landfill Saving

This figure shows how many cubic meters of landfill you have prevented by utilising recycled plastic.
